Baspinar (the literal translation meaning 'top spring') is the southermost, i.e. highest part of Lapta, the 'lemon village'. It is famous for the spring which runs at all times of the year and supplies the water for large parts of the country, even in summer.

Local people believe that this spring is fed by a submarine river from the Taurus mountains in Turkey.
